Terms of Service

Crafted Market is an online marketplace platform that connects Western Australian handmade goods Sellers with Buyers. We facilitate transactions between Sellers and Buyers but are not a party to the sale contract between them.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it current.

Sellers must be based in Western Australia and sell only products they have personally made or significantly crafted by hand.

What you can sell: Only handmade goods that you personally create. No dropshipping, reselling mass-produced items, or digital products.

Shop approval: All new shops require approval from Crafted Market before going live. We reserve the right to decline or revoke approval at our discretion.

Accurate listings: Descriptions, images, and pricing must be accurate and not misleading. You are responsible for ensuring your listings comply with Australian Consumer Law.

Shipping: You are responsible for shipping your products safely and in the timeframe stated on your listings. You must provide tracking information where possible.

Returns & refunds: You must honour return requests that comply with Australian Consumer Law guarantees (major faults, goods not as described, etc.).

Commission: Crafted Market charges an 8% commission on each completed sale. This is deducted automatically via Stripe Connect at the time of payment.

Stripe Connect: You must connect a Stripe account to receive payouts. Stripe's Terms of Service apply to your payment processing.

Purchases: By completing checkout, you enter into a binding sale agreement with the Seller. Crafted Market facilitates the payment but the contract is between you and the Seller.

Australian Consumer Law: Your consumer rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) apply to all purchases made on Crafted Market. This includes guarantees around acceptable quality, fitness for purpose, and accurate description.

Disputes: If you have a dispute with a Seller, contact them directly first. If unresolved, contact us at lachlan@craftedmarket.com.au and we will assist in mediation.

Refunds: Refund eligibility depends on the seller's policy and your rights under the ACL. For payment disputes, contact your card issuer or Stripe.

You must not:

• Use Crafted Market for any unlawful purpose
• Post false, misleading, or defamatory content
• Infringe the intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to circumvent platform fees by transacting off-platform
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Use automated tools to scrape or manipulate the platform

Sellers retain full ownership of their product images and descriptions. By listing on Crafted Market, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display your content for the purpose of operating the marketplace.

Crafted Market's brand, logo, and platform design are our intellectual property. You may not reproduce them without written permission.

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Crafted Market is not liable for:

• Loss or damage arising from transactions between Buyers and Sellers
• Delays, damage, or loss of goods during shipping
• Platform downtime or data loss
• Indirect, consequential, or incidental damages

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we determine your use harms the community. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of material changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia and the Commonwealth of Australia. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Western Australia.

Commission: Crafted Market charges a commission on each completed sale, currently 8% of the sale price (excluding any shipping charged to the buyer). The current rate is published on the site and deducted automatically via Stripe Connect at the time of payment.

Fee changes: We may adjust the commission rate or introduce new fees at any time. We will give sellers at least 30 days' written notice (by email) of any fee increase. Continued use of the platform after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new rate.

Optional paid features: We may offer optional paid features in future — such as promoted listings or subscription plans. These will always be opt-in. Free and existing seller accounts will not be automatically charged for optional features.

Shop performance data: Any analytics or performance data provided to sellers (such as view counts) is indicative only and provided as-is. Crafted Market makes no representations about its accuracy or completeness.
